Omnisend is an innovative marketing tool that helps businesses to generate marketing leads. It works with e-commerce platforms and online businesses.
Table of Contents
You can use Omnisend to automatize your Amazon feedback emails using a trsutable platform compilant with Amazon's TOS.
The difference between Omnisend and other marketing tools is the fact that while other marketing tools tend to concentrate their lead generation on email, Omnisend takes a more holistic approach to both lead generation and leads conversion. They use social media applications as well as email to reach out to leads and customers.
Omnisend Integrations
Omnisend has an all-embracing approach. There are many people who keep email accounts but rarely check their email, yet they receive Push notifications on their PC or chat with their friends on WhatsApp.
So the integrations and features of this tool will ensure that no-one slips through the net. This tool increases the possibility of reaching potential customers beyond the reach of email. This company goes about its mission of lead generation and lead conversion in two ways. They are as follows:
- Shopify
- Shopify Plus
- Big Commerce
- Magento
- Woocommerce
- Volusion
- Opencart
- Prestashop+ others via API
Omnisend features
The distinguishing feature of this marketing tool is the number of channels it covers. It covers:
- Email marketing
- Mobile marketing
- Push notifications
- Viber
- Messenger
Other marketing tools cover email and some cover mobile marketing too. No rival seems to even stand close to the level of channels covered by Omnisend.
The first thing to do in lead generation is to capture the contact info of visitors to your website. According to Omnisend reviews, this is their forte. From a strategic landing page focussing totally on the customer and his or her needs to sign-up form that’s fun to fill up, this company are experts in this area.
They can even capture the contact information of leads through a gaming ‘Wheel of Fortune’, which offers visitors a prize for filling the form. The prize comes in the form of a discount or free shipping on your first purchase. Automated messaging is another feature of this service, which sends messages to leads and customers on autopilot. You can design targeted email and SMS campaigns, creating beautiful content as you do so.
This tool can analyse your customer segments and send an email that’s relevant to each one.
Let's take a look at the features breakdown:
Automation
Automation will let you create workflows using triggers and delays to send emails like:
- Welcome email
- Order confirmation
- Cart abandonment
- Birthday reminder + discount
- Etc
Just imagine a workflow and create it using an easy drag & drop editor
Campaigns
Omnisend takes regular email campaigns to a whole new lever. Some of the features we can find are:
Campaign booster
If (let's say) a 70% of your customer database hasn't opened your campaign, you can send an auto booster to them with a killer subject like “25% off! Don't miss our secret sale”
AB Testing
You can perform AB and multi-variant tests, not just on the subject of the email, but also it's contents.
Easy drag & drop editor
Build newsletters the easiest way using the drag & drop editor where you can find contents such as:
- Title
- Text block
- Image
- Offers
- Gift box
- Scratch card
- Discount coupon code
- Product pickers
- Custom HTML code
- Video
- Etc
Content editor
As discussed above, you can create your emails from scratch using fields as Title, Text block, Gift box, Product pickers… let's break them down some of the most advanced ones:
Product picker
You can connect your store database with Omnisend, so you can include your products directly to the newsletter you're building by just surfing your product database from the tool.
Custom build templates
If you don't want to create your own email from scratch, you can select one of the excellent designed (and, of course, mobile friendly) pre-built templates.
Better CTAs
Use the click-through rate boosting elements to make your users click. Scratch Card and Gift box work similar as a lottery technique for the users and will help you get more clicks and sales
Unique discount codes
You can drag and drop the discount block to your email and grab discount codes directly from your store's database
Automatic product recommendations
Again, as Omnisend connects to your store, you can create product recommendations based on the client's purchase /navigation history on the fly using Artifficial Intelligence.
Forms
Omnisend's integration with your site goes beyond email marketing. You can create forms directly on your store and send the leads coming from those forms to Omnisend's database.
Create flexible popups with offers such as:
- Welcome discount
- Offer triggered by a custom event: visitor behaviour, custom timing…
- Wheel of fortune: spin the wheel, win a saving and get it by entering your email
Reports
Omnisend's advanced reports will show you relevant info such as:
- Sent emails
- Open Rate
- Click rate
- Sales generated
- Removed users from database
- Device reports
- Clicks on the different elements of the email campaign (directly on a clickmap)
- Workflow tracking
- Etc
Audiences
Last but not least, here's the segmentation. You can create segments based on your existing contacts and criteria like:
- Channel status (where they come from)
- Country
- Language
- Shopping behaviour…
Pricing & Trial Period
The pricing is on different levels, depending on the customer's requiremnt. There’s a generous free trial too, to help a new customer to get started. Equally important, to help the customer decide if this platform is really suitable for them. The pricing depends on the number of subscribers the customer has. The pricing is scaled, so as the business grows, the pricing can increase according to the number of emails and traffic.
Obviously, when a business is starting up, the number of subscribers is less. The charges will increase only as the business grows and increases. Which sounds completely fair. There are four pricing models. They are Free, Standard, Pro and Enterprise. Standard and Pro can both be started with free trials, lasting around 14 days, with no credit card required. Let’s examine each model.
Free plan
This will only cover:
- email campaigns: 15,000 emails per month, maximum 2,000 emails per day
It’s ideal for small businesses and startups who are beginning to get to grips with email marketing. Naturally, as the small business learns about the benefits of automation and marketing through other channels, they will develop an interest in setting up a paid account.
Standard plan: $16.00 (USD) per month
- Like a free account, the customer gets 15,000 free emails per month, maximum 2,000 emails per day
- The customer also gets automated workflows (emails sent on automatic pilot)
- Automated SMS
- Interacted email elements
- Interactive sign-up forms
- Advanced segmentation to ensure correct email messages are sent to particular customers.
Pro plan: $199 (USD) per month
- It contains everything that’s available in Standard
- In addition, the customer gets to market on social media platforms like Facebook, Google, Facebook Messenger, Viber, WhatsApp and Push Notifications.
- There is also priority support
- Emails are unlimited.
Enterprise plan: From $2000 (USD) per month
- The customer gets everything available in Pro
- A dedicated manager
- Single sign-on
- Advanced workflow customization
Omnisend Reviews
This company, being so innovative and comprehensive, is already a leader in its field over some other marketing tools which have been out there for longer. It has to be said that the USP of this marketing tool is its ability to use social media for marketing. Having used this service for a while, these are my thoughts
Pros
My experience with this service has been extremely positive. The email marketing side of the tool is superb, allowing me, the customer, to craft attractive emails to reach the minds and hearts of my customers. If you read the feedback of other customers who have moved to this platform from others, you'll notice that they are also very pleased and speak positively in their reviews. That's a good sign.
Overall, there seems to be a consensus that this is one of the most comprehensive and best marketing tools for eCommerce companies.
Cons
As already mentioned, the USP of this marketing tool is its social media for marketing feature. But up to the standard level pricing model, this feature, is not available. On the free and standard level, an automated email marketing service can be set up with a generous allowance of 15,000 emails per month, which is not bad at all. At Standard level, I can add additional features to my package to make a customised plan.
This is chargeable according to the features of which I, the customer avail. They introduce Standard and Pro with 14 days of free trial without seeing the customer’s credit card, which I appreciate. But while they have a free account level, it doesn’t exactly scream ‘free forever’. That’s perfectly fine. There has to be something in it for the company that’s giving a ‘freemium’ service.
Free trials are great as they give a customer a chance to ‘try before you buy’. But I can't get the social media marketing tool until I’m ready to pay up. No ‘try before you buy’ for that.
