Helium 10 Cerebro

Helium 10 Cerebro is a keyword research tool tailored for Amazon sellers who want to find high-traffic, low-competition keywords without going nuts comparing spreadsheets. It works with the Reverse ASIN method, meaning you plug in up to 10 ASINs and Cerebro spits out their keyword data—both organic and sponsored. Boom. That’s it.

And before we go deeper: I’m a Helium 10 Seller Solutions Hub Partner, regular guest author on the Helium 10 blog, and I’ve even been on their podcast. So yeah, I’ve spent a *little* time with their tools.

Features of Helium 10 Cerebro

Cerebro Reverse ASIN Lookup

Plug in your competitors’ ASINs and you’ll instantly see which keywords are driving their traffic and sales. It’s like legal spying—but make it SEO.

Keyword Search Volume

Knowing how often people search for a term on Amazon is half the battle. Cerebro shows you exact search volumes so you can jump on hot keywords before the rest of the sellers even know what hit them.

Competitor Analysis

Wanna see how you stack up against that annoying seller with 4,000 reviews? Cerebro compares your keyword rankings vs theirs, so you know where to focus your SEO or PPC efforts.

Keyword Difficulty Score

This score tells you how hard it’s going to be to rank for a keyword. Super useful when deciding where to invest your budget—or when you just want quick wins.

Search Terms Optimization

You’ll get clear data on how to improve your listings and backend keywords. It’s not magic, it’s Cerebro.

How to use Helium 10 Cerebro

4-step process to pull keyword data with Cerebro

  1. Select your marketplace (e.g. Amazon.com, Amazon.de… you get the idea)
  2. Enter an ASIN of a product you want to analyze
  3. Click “Get Competitors” to automatically gather up to 10 related ASINs
  4. Hit “Get Keywords” and you’ll get a tasty list of relevant keywords, with search volume, CPC, competition level, etc.

Pro tip: Grab your top 3 competitor ASINs and run them all at once in Cerebro. Then filter by high search volume + low CPR score. That’s your goldmine. Don’t tell your competitors.

Cerebro’s filters (and yes, there are tons)

Benefits of using Cerebro

  1. Supercharged keyword research: You’ll stop guessing and start ranking.
  2. Outsmart your competitors: Reverse ASIN lookup + all that juicy data = next-level SEO strategy.
  3. Saves you time: No more keyword guesswork. Spend that time optimizing, not researching.

Limitations

  1. Amazon-only: No love for Etsy, Shopify, or other platforms (yet—Walmart support is in the pipeline).
  2. You need to know a bit of SEO: If you don’t know what a keyword match type is, you’ll need a quick learning curve. But hey, that’s what my blog’s for.

Review

I’ve tested Cerebro across countless client accounts and it’s consistently one of the most useful keyword tools for Amazon sellers. The amount of data you get per ASIN is unreal, and the filtering capabilities let you slice and dice until you find keyword gold. Whether you’re launching, scaling, or optimizing, Cerebro fits right into your workflow.

And again, not just saying this because I’m a Helium 10 Partner or because I write for their blog or joined their podcast. It’s just a damn good tool. Period.

Pros

  • Reverse ASIN lookup is a game-changer
  • Includes advanced filters like CPR, Title Density, PPC bid
  • Supports up to 10 ASINs at once
  • IQ Score helps you spot low-competition keywords
  • Works with most Amazon marketplaces

Cons

  • Only works for Amazon (Walmart support coming)
  • Steep learning curve if you're new to keyword research
  • No external integrations
