Helium 10 Refund Genie is a handy tool made to help Amazon sellers recover refunds for lost or damaged inventory during Amazon’s fulfillment process.

And yes, it’s included in Helium 10’s all-in-one suite — which I know pretty well since I’m a Helium 10 Seller Solutions Hub Partner, I write for the Helium 10 blog, and I’ve been a guest on their podcast. So yeah, I’ve tested this tool in real-world accounts, not in a demo with sandbox data.

What does it do exactly? Refund Genie analyzes your seller account data to identify missing or damaged inventory, and gets your refund paperwork ready so you don’t leave a single cent on the table.

Pro tip: Run Refund Genie at least once a month — and always after Q4. Amazon makes a lot of FBA messes during peak season, and guess who’s not going to tell you unless you ask? Yep… nobody. You gotta dig.

2. Amazon-only: It’s only for Amazon sellers. If you’re also selling on Walmart or eBay, no refunds for you there.

I’ve been testing Refund Genie with a few clients, and honestly, it's a no-brainer. It doesn’t do anything you couldn’t do yourself — but let’s be real, you’re not going to sit around parsing Amazon reports with 90 columns. This tool finds missed refunds and formats them in a neat little file, ready to send. Done.

Would I love it more if it filed the cases for me? Sure. But I also know why Amazon doesn’t allow full automation on this. In the meantime, this tool gets you 90% of the way there, and it’s way better than letting your cash evaporate into Amazon’s accounting system.
