Helium 10 Refund Genie is a handy tool built to help Amazon sellers get refunds for lost or damaged inventory during Amazon’s fulfillment process.

And yep, it’s included in Helium 10’s all-in-one suite, which I know pretty well since I’m a Helium 10 Seller Solutions Hub Partner, I write for their blog and I’ve even been on their podcast. So yeah, I’ve tested this tool on real accounts, not just in some sandbox full of fake data.

What does it do exactly? Refund Genie scans your seller account data to spot missing or damaged inventory, then preps your refund case file so you’re not leaving any money behind.

Here’s what it found in one of my accounts. Only $26.50 this time, but hey… that’s MY money:

Pro tip: Run Refund Genie at least once a month, and always after Q4. Amazon tends to screw up a lot during peak season, and guess who’s not going to say anything unless you dig? Exactly. Nobody.

Benefits of using Refund Genie

2. Amazon-only: Works just for Amazon sellers. If you’re also on Walmart or eBay, this won’t help there.

I’ve tested Refund Genie with a bunch of clients and honestly, it’s a no-brainer. Sure, you could pull this info yourself, but let’s be honest, nobody has time to dig through Amazon’s 90-column spreadsheets. This tool finds missed refunds and turns them into a clean little file, ready to send. Boom, done.

Would it be cooler if it filed the cases too? Of course. But Amazon doesn’t allow full automation for this. Still, Refund Genie gets you 90% of the way and helps stop your money from disappearing into the black hole that is Amazon’s accounting.
